Another Attempt- Knitting

Hello again! So, it turns out that Sammy was scribbling in my journal and he is plotting to add a horrible post to my "lame blog." I think it's a good time to talk about something else that happened to me.

Mom said that it was about time for me to learn to knit. "You know, Sylvie," oh boy. "I wasn't even your age when I started to cook and knit and sew...You, as my daughter, should carry on the tradition...Well, maybe not cooking." Uggggggggggghhh. It's almost 2016, Mom! I don't need to learn to sew. It's too old-fashioned! Despite my kicking and screaming, which is what I wanted to do, Mom still handed me some needles and yarn.

Well, I don't even have to say that it ended up a disaster. Sammy kept batting at the ball of yarn and I threw my sweater-in-progress at him. He batted that too and got himself tangled up. When Mom saw this, she ran over with her own knitting still in hand. She dropped her needles and tried to untangle Sammy but she got all tangled up, too. She also burned the acorn soup she was boiling while knitting and that ruined the stove. I'm not even going to mention how I nearly poked my needles into Dad's tail... oops, I just mentioned it.

I spent the day untangling yarn and now, not only am I not allowed to touch the spice cabinet, Mom's workbasket is also off-limits. Sigh. I guess one good thing is that if I could knit and/or cook, I'd have more chores.

Wasn't that fun to read? Ooh, my friend is here; I'm going shopping! "See" you soon!
