I'm so sorry that you haven't heard from us lately, but what with Isaak, Sammy's cold, and Sylvie's test.... we've been more than a little busy. You know, let me start from the beginning.
Saamy didn't come downstairs for school Thursday morn. I was worried, so I went upstairs and found him staring up at the ceiling. He said his throat hurt. That was not a good sign. I put the covers over him and called the school.
He said he must have caught a cold from the snow. Actually, you can't catch a cold from the snow, but I still regretted letting him go... And it was a pretty bad cold too. He had a slight fever. I think he was just miserable not being able to run around with Isaak. Oh well, he was too sick to run around anyhow. At least Isaak stayed by his side and kept him busy, I thought. But little did I know....
Saturday, after holding conference for a long time with Sammy, Isaak came up to me with a cup of tea in his hand. I was sitting wearily on the couch, worn out with..um...maternal preparations. Sylvie had been busy all week studying for a big test...several big tests.
So he held out the aforesaid cup and said sweetly, "Stacey, I thought you might need a cup of tea for your nerves." Usually he does that when he's playing a trick, but after all those years, I forgot. I took the cup from him gratefully and sipped it.

"Interesting," I said to him wryly. "What's your secret ingredient?"
"Soy sauce," he replied with a wink.
That did it! I chased him around and around the house with a dishcloth. Never mind if all the family was watching us, wide eyed.
And Isaak's still here! Last Monday at dinner, he announced that he would stay on for a bit. But then, he exchanged a glance with Tsofiya. I'm suspicious now....
Also, I noticed that all the men in the family have not been good patients. Sammy complains...and complains...and complains....his head hurts, throat hurts, nose stuffed...
Scott: I just don't see why I have to do all these exercises to help my back!" Complainer, right?
As for Isaak, well, when we were younger and I took care of him (a bit) while he was sick, he'd creep out of bed at all hours. I had to watch him, and very closely.
It's time for me to cook lunch! See you later!
