The Advent of Isaak

I'm excited, yet....I'm dreading the days ahead. Why, you might ask? My brother Isaak's here! So he was supposed to come from Sweden Friday and...Please read Sylvie's posts. You should know what was supposed to happen. But it didn't happen, and now he's on the couch sleeping (he's not a morning person, unlike me) and snoring, a little. It's been a hectic time.

Sylvie and Sammy and Scott were playing outside Monday when Isaak presented himself...by throwing snowballs from up in a tree. I saw him up there from the kitchen, where I was making cocoa and cookies for the family. But when I saw my mischievous twin, I hurriedly stuffed all the cookies into a jar near me and wrapped it tightly in my arms. Yes, Isaak and I are fraternal twins, and I must confess that whenever he visits, my inner mischief-maker comes out. It's been that way all the years I lived with him, and it's back. Of course, he smelled the cookies and simply reached around me and took one. I nearly dropped the jar trying to get it out of his hand.

Other than that, Isaak has been keeping his nephew occupied. Or is it the other way around?

Yesterday at dinner, I decided to try something. For dessert, I served caramels, and as I gave Isaak his, I grinned just a little bit. Tsofiya looked at me curiously. She had gone with me shopping and she knew where I'd been. She was suspicious, and with good reason...

Isaak got a strange look on his face as he bit into the candy. I nearly burst. I'd bought a prank salt candy!

" Nice one, but you're gonna get it now," he muttered. I burst.

Well, I have to go wake up Sammy for school now, I will see you and report on my twin brother.
