Mini Doll Closet
I made a pipe-cleaner doll recently, named Maddy. I made her a doll closet for her which is made of an old Monk Fruit in the Raw box, but a baking-soda box would do just as well, or a cereal box for larger dolls.
To make this closet, you need:
A small cardboard box
Scissors
Glue
Masking/washi tape
Stickers (optional)
Decorative paper and cardstock
Markers
First, take the cardboard box and cut the front, making sure to leave a side uncut, because this will be the closet door. You may want to tape down any flaps or loose ends inside the box.
Next, measure your decorative paper to fit the front, sides, back, top and bottom of the box. Cut the paper into pieces that will fit the box once you have measured it. Glue each piece down to the box where it fits. If you would like more decorations, add tape trim or stickers to the door of the closet.
Then, get your cardstock. Measure the cardstock so that a strip of it could fit neatly into the inside of the box lengthwise. However, leave one-half to one inch of paper on both ends of your strip, for attaching to the walls. Fold the extra paper towards the top of the paper, or the shelf. Glue both the folded ends and paste them to the walls. I made two shelves, but you can make more, depending on how many the box can fit.
Finally, add a piece of tape with one end on a cut side of the door and one end on the outside of the adjacent wall, so that the doll's closet can stay closed. Write your doll's name on the front with a marker. Set the doll's clothes inside on the shelves. You have a closet!
Happy making!
