Recycled Workshop Invitations
Since I'm going to be hosting a recycled workshop soon, I need to notify the participants. What better way is there to do that than by giving them invitations?
This is a really simple project. All you need to do is cut a piece of thin cardboard out from a box and decorate it!
You need:
Cardboard from a thin box, the consistency of tissue-box cardboard
Markers or other writing medium
Stickers (optional)
RIbbon (optional)
Hole punch (optional)
Scissors, decorative and straight
Other decorative elements you'd like to put on your invitation
~ Decorative masking tape
~ Fabric
~Paper cutouts (you need glue for this)
~Ink stamps and ink
First, cut out a piece of cardboard. I used an 8 by 5 rectangle folded in half, but you may make any shape you like. A cat face silhouette, maybe? You can even use decorative scissors.
You may fold your card in half, but this is optional, especially because your shape may not be symmetrical and it will look odd when folded.
Note: Excuse the Radical 38 information as that is an institution I made with my friends.
Next, write up your information inside your invitation with markers or another writing medium. Some things you should write in your invitation are:
Date and Time
Place
Agenda
RSVP address
The rest is up to you! You can doodle, you can glue, you can cut. Here's a few ideas:
Tie a cardboard tag onto the invitaion with ribbon or yarn
Press on some ink stamps and stickers randomly
Glue on yarn outlines for drawing
And that is it! Send them off to your friends; there is a special touch in these invitations because they are handmade.
Happy Making!
